If you were 1 of the 73 million Americans who watched the Beatles perform 5 songs on the Ed Sullivan Show or even if you were 1 of the more than 100 million that didn't, you might remember seeing this Jack Kirby and Bill Everett cover on your local spinner rack.
Even then Everett could bring out the best in Kirby. Something not seen until Giacoia and Sinnott in 64 and 65 respectively. Kirby immense growth in that period had a lot to do with that, though. In Everett's case it was something more. He and Syd Shores could really bring out the best in Kirby.
